My name is Mark Sykes and I've had the nickname Syko since I was 12 years old.  It all stems from my last name Sykes....Syko.

 

I'm am a solo acoustic artist who gigs 2-4 times a month around the metro area of Boone and Charlotte,  NC.

 

My show is FUN, very interactive and totally different than your typical solo acoustic set.

 

I pass out a song list of roughly 170 selections. After I warm up with 2-3 numbers... I turn it over to the audience, and play their requests all night long.  My repertoire is all over the map.   I play pop, rock, beach, folk, country, reggae & blues.

 

It works very well & it does not take long for the audience to figure out how my show works.

Once that happens, the night takes a direction all of its own!

 

The interactive'ness of my show is just a part of the package.  The audience can shout out songs requests or they can even text them to me =)

 

My show is fun, full of energy, has great singing & playing.... plus a few funny jokes thrown in the mix. 

 

I talk to my audience and by the end of a show, a connection is made.  Singing songs is one thing, but being an entertainer is what best describes my show.

Ironically, I have even been called an entertainers' entertainer.
